History of Caffey Bar 6
Owner Terry Caffey worked as a ranch manager for Comanche Spring Ranch in 1978 working with many different species of animals. He began his exotic career in 1983 working with Joe Bob and Nancy Green. In 2006 Caffey Bar 6 Game Ranch was born. Our name is based off of Terry and Bonnie’s SIX grandchildren. We are a family owned and operated business who strive to ensure the exotic business stays alive and successful. We base our philosophy on being honest and loyal to our customers.
Owners Terry and Bonnie Caffey
Bonnie and Terry Caffey, also known as Ma and Pa, were both raised in Eden and have spent their entire lives in the community. The Caffey’s have three children, six grand children and one great grandson.
Terry and Bonnie have been involved in game ranching business for over forty years. Terry currently serves as an honorary director of the Exotic Wildlife Association and has served on the board of directors for a number of years. He has also served as a the director of the Concho County Farm Bureau for numerous years. Terry has the privilege of being a consultant for numerous ranches across the state of Texas. Bonnie and Terry are members of the Eden Church of Christ.
Ranch Manager Dale Caffey
Dale graduated from Texas Tech University with a degree in Wildlife Management. He has grown up in the ranching industry with the past 20+ years devoted to the exotic industry. He has a wealth of knowledge when it comes to the capture and handling of many different species.
Dale is a director for the Exotic Wildlife Association as well as a director for the Concho County Farm Bureau. He serves on several committees for both of these organizations. Dale is a member of the Eden Church of Christ.
Dale has a wonderful fiancé, Jennifer Mitchell. He has two children; Rhett Caffey (Wife Dana) and Taylor. He is also a proud grandpa to Walker Caffey.
He currently is “livin the dream everyday. “
Kendal Castleberry
Kendal has been a ranch hand for Caffey Bar Six for 10 years. He helps in every aspect of the ranch, being Dale’s right hand man everyday. Kendal is our welder and completes many projects to keep our operation up to date. He is an excellent/dependent hand who helps our ranching dreams come to life.
Kendal has a lovely wife, Angelica, they have been together for 12 years. They have 5 kids together, who have all had a hand in our ranching dreams.
